Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn, born on May 12, 1972, is an American actress. She is best known for her character of attorney Kim Wexler in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-present), where she is twice winner of the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress for Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She also appeared on the NBC show Whitney (2011-2013) as well as ABC's I'm with Her (2003-2004) and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011-2014). Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on May 12, 1972. Her mother was an executive assistant in the United States Navy, and her father was an agent for the Naval Investigative Service. She was raised in a household that moved often, including the cities of Washington, D.C., Arizona and Japan. Following the footsteps of her grandfather and father She was interested in drawing, painting, and architecture from a young age. In her pursuit of the visual arts, she discovered an interest in acting. She was also introduced to modern theater during her time in college. In 1994 she graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art. Seehorn, who was studying in college and was looking to enter theatre after being inspired by her acting teacher. She tried to gain attention by working different ancillary positions in D.C. theater. While she was eventually able to be a part of major local theatre productions, and was forced to take on odd jobs in order to stay afloat but she continued to work in the film industry as an instructional filmmaker. Soon she began to be part of more television productions. It was common for her to be compared to Bea Arthur, whom was described by her as "very funny," "sarcastic, and very intelligent" women. However, most of these roles were short-run series that ended after just two or three seasons. Seehorn was played by Kim Wexler for the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul in May 2014. Seehorn portrays Kim Wexler, a lawyer as well as the love interest of the titular Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk).
