Magda Apanowicz is an Canadian actress from Canada. She is well-known for her role on ABC Family's Kyle XY as Andy Jensen and Syfy's Caprica science fiction drama as Lacy Rand. Emily Hartwell, a science fiction actress was born Maya Hartwell. Recently, she was spotted as Sandy in the Netflix thriller series You. Apanowicz is Polish and was a resident of Poland for a year during her ninth grade. She was raised by her uncle, and she was a student at Jelenia Gora School. She went on to study at Vancouver Film School. After her brother introduced her the Pulp Fiction, she became fascinated by acting. In 2002 she began her first acting appearances on the TV series Jeremiah. She was also a guest in John Doe's TV series. From 2007 until 2009, she was acting in the Kyle XY role of Andy Jensen. In 2008 she starred in the Hallmark Channel original movie Every Second Counts.In 2009, Apanowicz was cast as Lacy Rand, a series regular, in the drama television series Caprica featuring Eric Stoltz and Alessandra Torresani. Later, she appeared in Hellcats. In 2012, she appeared as Emily in Jane Espenson's upcoming second season of her web series of romantic comedy Husbands. In 2013, Apanowicz also played the part as Samantha in The Green Inferno, an Eli Roth horror film. The Green Inferno was originally shot in 2012. It was released globally in the year 2015.
