Michelle Lynn Monaghan Bio

Michelle Lynn Monaghan (born March 23 in 1976) is an American actress. Her leading roles include Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005) and Gone Baby Gone (2008). She was also known for Gone Baby Gone (2008), Made of Honor (2008) and Trucker (2008). Source Code (2011), Pixels (2015) and Patriots Day (2016). Her starring role in Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011) and Mission: Impossible Fallout (2018) has earned her the respect of. Monaghan was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Best Supporting Actress. She also appeared as Sarah Lane in the drama series The Path (2016-18). Monaghan starred as Eva Geller in the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah and the show was cancelled after a single season. Monaghan was born in the tiny town (then with a population of 750) in Winthrop, Iowa, the daughter of Sharon Hammel, and Robert Monaghan who was a factory worker. Bob and John are her elder brothers. Monaghan is mostly of Irish and German roots, and was raised Catholic.She graduated from East Buchanan High School in 1994. After graduation, Monaghan relocated to Chicago to pursue journalism studies and began modeling. She modeled in Milan, Singapore, Tokyo and Hong Kong, as well as in the United States. With one semester remaining to finish her journalism degree in 1999, she left for New York to pursue an acting career. Prior to her acting career, she was models and has appeared in many magazines and catalogs. Monaghan's first two credited television appearances, both in a supporting role and as Caroline Busse in episodes of Young Americans, which aired in 2000. She also played a character on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in "Consent", an episode that was broadcast on January 19 2001. She made her first big-screen appearance the following year with Perfume as the character of Henrietta. Her next film, also in a supporting role made it to the screen in 2002 with Unfaithful, starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane.
