Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Matchett, a Canadian actor, is best known for her roles in movies like 'Apartment Hunting' 'Men with Brooms', and  The Tree of Life. She was born in Spalding (Saskatchewan) and then moved to Alberta, Canada where she graduated from high school. She discovered an interest in acting in her teens. To further enhance her acting education, she attended the National Theatre School' in Montreal, and then the Moscow Theatre School'. In 1996, she made her television debut as a role in the Canadian show 'The Rez. She was also featured in shows such as "Ready or Not" and "Forever Knight". In the latter part of 1990, she made her film debut in the film titled Papertrail'. She later was in films like ‘Men with Brooms’ or 'Cypher. In addition, she played supporting roles in television series' like 'A Nero Wolfe Mystery' and 'Blue Murder.' The actress was also seen in films until the 2000s. However, her film appearances were less than her TV ones. In 1998, she played the lead role of 'Colleen blessed' in the Canadian drama series 'Power Play. The series ran for 26 episodes and received both critical and commercial praise. For her part in the show she was nominated for the Gemini Award. Jude Lyon Matchett became her first child in June 2013. However, she refused to reveal the father of her son. According to some reports, her ex boyfriend is her father. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke started dating Kari Matchett around the mid-1990s. They were married in October 1998. However, the marriage did not last long and the couple split in 2006.
