Tauheed Epps is an American hip-hop and rapper who is better known by the name of 2 Chainz. Georgia born, he began his career in hip hop with Playaz Circle, which he formed along with a high school buddy. Their first album, titled 'Supply & Demand", was an unremarkable success. Epps' second album, 'Based on a T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It was a huge success and debuted at the top spot on US Billboard 200. In the very first week following release, it sold out to 147,000 copies. After the release of his album, there was no turning back. He rose to fame as one of America's most well-known rappers. He's been nominated in six Grammy categories, and of these one has been won for "No Problem." In 2013, he caused controversy when he was caught with promethazine and marijuana on the flight departing from Los Angeles International Airport. His brush with law hasn't affected his popularity. The latest album of his studiocalled "Pretty Girls Like Trap music', was released in June 2017. "Based on an R.U. Story', 2 Chainz' debut studio album, can be considered his first major work and also his most profitable. The album was a huge success. It reached the top of the US Billboard 200 and sold 147,000 copies in less than one week. It was eventually sold 623,000 times over the year. The album, which featured songs that were a hit, including 'No Lie" and 'Birthday Song' and'I'm Different' was nominated as 'Best Rap Album', at the 55th Grammy Awards. Reviews were mostly mixed. 2 Chainz wed Kesha Ward in 2013. The couple has three children: Heaven, Harmony, and Halo. He is not only a highly successful professional, but he's also well-known for his brush with the law. He has been arrested several times for possession of drugs.
